The Faculty of Industrial and Technological Education participated in a conference on "Transforming Accreditation Organizations Towards a New Paradigm in Professional Qualifications."

Asst. Prof. Piya Prasongchan, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial and Technological Education, together with Asst. Prof. Chaiya Tanaphatsiri, Vice Dean of Academic Affairs and Research, and Mr. Nawaphol  Thepnarin, faculty member of the Telecommunication and Network System program, attended the conference titled "Transforming Accreditation Organizations Towards a New Paradigm in Professional Qualifications." This conference was organized by the Professional Qualification Institute, with the Chairman of the Institute serving as the opening speaker. The event took place at the Ballroom of The Sukosol Hotel, Bangkok

The purpose of this conference was to provide guidance on compliance with the regulations of the Professional Qualification Institute, including the institute's regulations concerning criteria, methods, and conditions for issuing certifications to organizations responsible for certifying individuals' competencies according to professional standards in 2022 and the institute's regulations regarding criteria, methods, and conditions for granting professional qualification certificates.

During the conference, there were panel discussions on the topic "Acceptance of Professional Qualifications into the Professional Career Path." Representatives from various sectors participated in these discussions, and key points addressed included:

  • The roles, responsibilities, and improvement initiatives of organizations responsible for certifying individual competencies according to professional standards.
  • New missions: organizations providing training services.
  • Advocating for the request for professional qualifications from individuals who have passed the National Workforce Skills Standards assessment.
  • Guidelines for supporting the assessment of individual competencies according to professional standards.
  • The implementation of the E-Workforce Ecosystem Platform.
