On July 3-4, 2566
the Faculty of Industrial and Technological Education at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya organized a practical training program for the installation of smart switches within buildings, as part of the project to drive the sustainable creative economy through innovation and technology for the development of sustainable Coastal tourism. The program was conducted by Asst. Prof. Ruthai Prathoomthong and Lecturer Tanat Tanausavaphol, who are instructors for the Mechatronics Engineering program. They were supported by a team of faculty members and participants, including individuals interested in pursuing a career as installation technicians for intelligent control systems, as well as general public and vocational college and technical college students from the Songkhla Technical College. The training aimed to provide participants with valuable knowledge to further develop their businesses in the tourism industry through engaging content delivered by expert speakers. The program included teaching on the main criteria for obtaining a certification of knowledge and competency in the field of electrical installation within buildings. Participants were divided into groups for practical exercises, including circuit wiring for lighting and power systems within buildings, installation of communication room cabinets within buildings, installation of smart switches within buildings, and installation of control systems for operating smart switches. Additionally, there were opportunities for knowledge exchange among participants to enhance their understanding and apply the knowledge gained in the tourism industry, thereby improving their professional skills to meet industry standards and generate increased income in the future.
