On June 8-9, 2023
the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, organized a practical training program on the comprehensive New Product development for community businesses. This program was conducted under the project to develop entrepreneurs in the Southern Border Areas towards becoming innovative business operators, aligned with the BCG economic development approach. Its aim was to enhance the sustainable economic value at the grassroots level of the region, supporting the development and expansion of prototype towns. The training took place at Sabayoi Wittaya School, Sabayoi District, Songkhla Province. The speakers included Miss Tipsuda Somatanai, Asst. Prof. Anthika Tipjamnong, and Asst. Prof. Thanyaporn Damjuti, who are faculty members of the Marketing Department, Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya.
They were accompanied by their team and participants from community enterprise groups in Sabayoi District, who were interested in developing community products to increase their value and diversify their distribution channels. The training covered topics such as product potential analysis for community businesses, product planning and development for community businesses, brand creation and packaging design for community businesses, and communicating the value of community products to consumers. Moreover, there were opportunities for participants to engage in discussions and knowledge exchange to further develop their businesses, leading to increased income generation opportunities.
